Tech Fest polls reveal concern over future of post sector
A series of live polls at last week’s Tech Fest reveal the ups and downs of producing in lockdown
There is concern the impact of Covid-19 might spell the end of post-production in Soho, according to a series of live polls conducted during last week’s virtual Broadcast Tech Fest event.
The polls also indicate a huge move to cloud-based remote working during lockdown, with many saying they now miss the buzz of a busy post house environment and believe creativity might suffer while projects are being edited and finished remotely.
Broadcast Tech ran the live polls while different speaker sessions focussing on producing in lockdown were taking place.
Up to 45 attendees took part in each of the polls, which provide a useful snapshot of the industry’s opinions on lockdown changes.
Here are the results of the different polls we held during Broadcast Tech Fest 2020.
