Jeremy Deaner brings over 25 years’ experience with UK-based software companies

BlissTek has appointed Jeremy Deaner as its new CEO.

Deaner was most recently CEO of file-based broadcast workflow company AmberFin before it was acquired by Dalet, and has over 25 years’ experience with UK-based software companies.

Deaner will be working with Bliss IP chairman Daniel Broch and partner Robert Agsteribbe. The company is most well known for growing the Everyman Cinema chain.

Broch said the appointment points to a new way of doing things in the media tech sector, stating that it will, “enable everyone, everywhere to create incredible moving images. At BlissTek, we have been studying our customers’ work and workflows and our teams are building some really cool innovations which we will launch over the next 24 months.”

He continued: “In Digital Vision World, R3store Studios, R3el, we own world leading IP, which is the foundation for growth. Appointing Jeremy illustrates our intent and demonstrates how serious we are about this opportunity. Jeremy’s brief is, primarily, to build on our fantastic product and services legacy to deliver more for our customers.”

Deaner added: “We have - and will continue to build - a fantastic team of creative and talented minds who are driven by the prospect of delivering valuable solutions, tools and services to the international Media Tech industry.”

  • The atmosphere at MPTS has been amazing this year. MPTS is definitely one of the industry’s most diverse shows, if not the most diverse, both in terms of attendees and panelists. A huge amount of work goes into making sure that there is equal representation across an extensive conference programme.

  • I think this year 2024 is probably the most innovative, cutting-edge, head-of-the-curve MPTS that I’ve exhibited at so far. I think even compared to last year, attendees really know what they’re looking for when it comes to cloud, AI, virtual production, all of the buzz words, all of the emerging technologies, everyone’s really embraced it.
