Altered Images turns focus to VFX
Altered Images has appointed Matt Seal as its high-end visual effects and post-production specialist.
As part of a turn towards the VFX market, the company has also become a reseller of Autodesk’s range of 3D animation software and pixitmedia’s purpose-built storage solutions. It now aims to provide sales and support across the entire broadcast, post-production and visual effects workflows - fully supporting 3D animation and 2D compositing.
Seal had formerly worked at Autodesk, spending 12 years there after three at a creative technology partner where he was responsible for the sales and growth strategy in animation, compositing and editing across the broadcast, post, corporate and education markets.
Seal said: “I’m delighted and thrilled to now be part of the team at Altered.” He added: “I’m excited about the new opportunities available to us through our collaboration with Autodesk and am looking forward to supporting both new and existing customers to make sure they have the best and most suitable VFX technology requirements for their business success, as well linking up with other existing areas of the Altered business to make sure we offer the best possible outcomes at all times.”
Tony Gill, Altered Images managing director, added: “It’s been a great few weeks at Altered, both with Matt’s appointment and our new relationships with Autodesk and pixitmedia. Matt’s technical expertise opens up new business opportunities for the company, since it means we’re in a great position to support our customers as they look to increase their visual effects work. I’m looking forward to growing Altered Images’ business in this exciting area.”
